Beata Kułak studied Polonistics at the Catholic University John Paul II. in Lublin. From 1996 to 2005 she was an assistant and between 2005 and 2008 adjunct professor at the chair of Polish Language at the Catholic University in Lublin. She wrote her master's thesis about "Declined and Non-Declined Polish-Language Names and Place Names in Canada" [Nieodmienność i odmiana nazwisk i nazw miejscowości w języku polskim w Kanadzie] under the supervision of Prof. Marian Kucała (1992). Doctoral thesis about "Contracted and Non-Contracted Form of the Possessive Adjective moj, twoj, swoj in the Polish Language" [Nieściągnięte i ściągnięte formy zaimków dzierżawczych mój, twój, swój w języku polskim] (2003).
As of 1993, she collaborated in the planning process of the program of study "Polish Language and Culture" at the Catholic University in Lublin and taught Polish language courses for foreign students at the Polish Language and Culture Summer School of the Catholic University in Lublin. 2006 co-founder of the specialisation "glottodidactic" and seminars in functional grammar.
Since 2008, she has worked as a lecturer of Polish language and culture at the University of Fribourg and has had several teaching assignments in linguistics at the University of Bern.
